What to Expect at Your Pet’s First Visit

As a new client at our hospital, we will devote our full attention to your pet’s needs. We proudly provide quality care for your dog or cat at our practice, conveniently located between Fogelsville and Trexlertown. We are also one of only a handful of hospitals in the Allentown area with experience in treating rabbits and pocket pets. As a result, you can be confident that we will treat your pet with both expertise and compassion.

When you and your pet arrive at West Valley Animal Hospital, we’ll greet both of you and lead you into one of our examination rooms.

Once there, our veterinary assistant will ask you about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit.

Then, the doctor will examine your pet, ask you further questions, and recommend diagnostic tests, if needed. Once the tests are complete, the doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan. This is a great time to ask the doctor questions about your pet’s condition.

A veterinary assistant will discuss directions for any necessary medications and provide you with helpful pet care information. If you have any questions about your pet’s wellness or care, feel free to ask an assistant.

Although we strive to minimize delays, the nature of our practice is to give our patients the utmost in care and service. We will provide you and your pet the same careful attention.

Please note that payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express and the Care Credit  credit card.
