Martha Hatchett, DVM


Dr. Hatchett started her career as a small child by “rescuing” wildlife from the yard and “doctoring” the family pets. She graduated from Swarthmore College and from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She opened West Valley Animal Hospital in 1997 after practicing small animal medicine full time in the Lehigh Valley. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. Her pet loves include a mixed breed dog and seven cats. She previously owned guinea pigs for many years. Her main interests other than animals are kayaking, hiking and cooking.


Becky, CVT


Becky has been a member of the West Valley Veterinary team since 1998. Her passion is working with and helping all animals. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program in 2010. She has numerous four-legged family members ranging from several cats, to a dog, a horse and a bunny. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, camping, horseback riding and being with her pets. In her spare time she helps at a dog grooming shop. She also enjoys educating children about the care and responsibilities involved in pet ownership.


Sarah, CVT


Sarah is a recent graduate of Lehigh County Community College’s Veterinary nursing program. She started working at West Valley as a technician December 2016. In her spare time she loves helping to find homeless animals new families. Sarah has one dog of her own and hopes to one day work with her favorite animal, the elephant.


Stephanie, CVT


Stephanie has been a member of West Valley since 2019. She graduated from the vet tech program in 2018. She is married and they share their home with 3 dogs and a guinea pig. On top of their own furry family members they open their home to many foster dogs on their journey to finding families of their own. She is hearing impaired but still loves meeting new animal friends and talking to their owners. In her spare time she loves to listen to music, travel and play games with family and friends.


Christine


Chris has been working as part of the West Valley Team since December 2009. She has a love for large dogs, especially German Shepherds. You will not only see her in the examination rooms holding your animals, but she also has her hands in the fish tanks maintaining their habitat. She is also responsible for client education materials. If you have a question, just ask Chris. She delivers an answer with a smile! Christine is married with 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a snake. She enjoys walking the dogs, Friday pizza and Book club!


Karen


Karen has been with West Valley since 1998. She has worked in all aspects of hospital operations. These days she spends alot of time at the front desk working on the computer responding to e-mails, answering your phone calls, and working on the hospital website. Karen is a graduate of Emmaus High School and LCCC and has a Secretarial Science Degree. She is married and has 2 children, 1 dog, 2 cats, and a pond full of fish. She enjoys the great outdoors, sports, family time and Summers at the beach.


Patty


Patty has been helping out since 1998. She loves animals and they always seem to find her. From a dog found by police to a kitten found in a garbage toter. When Patty is not helping people as a medical receptionist, she is helping animals in one way or another. Patties hobbies include gardening and puzzles. Her favorite place to be is at the beach.
